What is wingsurfing or wingfoiling?

Also called wingen. The popular water sport of wingsurfing, which originated in Hawaii, has blown over to America and now Europe. In winging, you are propelled in front of a wing that you hold with your hands. You stand on a board under which a hydrofoil is mounted. This hydrofoil makes your board float above the warmer from about 10 kmph. To sail you need to be able to balance your board, wing and foil at the same time.

Recreational or competitive wingsurfing?
