We sell windsurf boards from the brands Phantom and JP Australia. The Phantom brand is from France and they focus on products of premium quality, style and high performance especially focusing on windsurfing foiling. JP australia is named after Jason Polakow, the former world windsurfing champion and the face of the brand. JP Australia is a premium brand with a wide range of more than 30 different windsurf boards.

Which type of windsurfboard is most suitable for you?

The main issue here is what you want to do with a windsurfboard. Do you want to get out on the waves? Then a waveboard is the right choice. Do you prefer to freestyle on flat water? Then you need a freestyle board. There are also wave freestyle boards that ride well in waves as well as on flat water. If you like speed, go for a freeride board! Finally, there are also freerace boards, which have a sporty handling, but are more comfortable compared to slalom boards.

For beginners there are all-round boards, these are often equipped with a daggerboard. Professionals mostly use race or slalom boards, these are real race monsters. Windsurfing and SUP can be combined with a windsup board.

Construction of a windsurfboard

A windsurfboard is available in a variety of building constructions: >

  • Full carbon
Carbon is a very light, stiff and pricey material. The sailing feel of a carbon board is many times better. But the boards are slightly more fragile than heavier variants.
  • Woodsandwich
This construction is more than adequate for most windsurfers and is just a bit heavier than a full carbon windsurfboard.
  • ASA
A windsurf board for beginners is often made in ASA because of its impact resistance and are combined with a soft EVA deck. This kind of windsurfboard is heavier, much stronger and also cheaper.

The volume of a windsurfboard

The absolute carrying capacity of a board is represented by volume. Light and experienced windsurfers pay particular attention to the width of a board, which says something about its deployment range and planing ability. Heavier windsurfers should pay more attention to the volume of a board.
