How to choose the right wetsuit for a child?

There are a number of steps in choosing the perfect wetsuit for children. Children are a lot more vulnerable and need to be well protected from various factors. The following steps are not requirements, but we highly recommend them:

• - The first step is to determine the water temperature. Of course, this is different in each place and season. This is important to determine the thickness and type of wetsuit. Children's wetsuits are divided into temperature ranges.
• - The next criterion is the duration of a session. If the child practices water sports for a long time, he or she will also need a thicker children's wetsuit.
• - The most important thing about a wetsuit for a child is the size. If it does not fit properly, the suit will not work either. The wetsuit should fit well and it should not slouch around the body. When you have the child try on the wetsuit it should be slightly too tight. This will ease once it comes into contact with the water. • - Children's wetsuits are made of neoprene. This fabric keeps the child from hypothermia while protecting them from any objects underwater. There are different thicknesses of this fabric. The choice of thickness are important for step 1 (water temperature) and step 2 (duration of the session). The two numbers indicate the thickness of the layers in millimeters. The higher the number, the warmer. However, this also takes away from the flexibility of the children's wetsuit.
