The Sonar High Aspect Front Wing series was developed with ultimate speed and efficiency in mind for a variety of disciplines, including kitefishing and lying foiling. This wing style requires minimal pumping motions and effort to get into gliding flight. The shorter chord length determines the thickness of the profile, and the thin profile reduces drag. The larger span provides stability and a slightly longer turning radius compared to wings of the same size but lower aspect ratio. The wing tips have been refined to ensure that no ventilation occurs when tilting, allowing you to make turns with a smaller radius at higher speeds without losing speed. With excellent elevator at high speeds, the HA850 to HA1250 models are perfect for core wing foiling and responsive surf sizes. For greater power and performance, the HA1250 to HA1450 models are ideal for dock starts, wave-after-wave pumping, shoreline following or wakes tacking. When downwinding, ocean swells move faster in open water and slower in shallow waters or close to shore. The faster you move through the water, the more choices you have to follow a more efficient line. A smaller wing means less surface area, resulting in less elevator and a higher minimum stall speed. The HA series wings are specifically designed for lighter and more experienced riders who want to foil in faster moving ocean waves.
