North Carve Kite 2024

The Carve is a powerful, responsive and controllable kite, ideal for cutting up a wave plane, tucking away in a loop or boosting strapless tricks. Designed with a stable lower aspect ratio design for fast turns and excellent drift, the Carve has an extremely direct feel in both bar pressure and steering initiation. Intuitive handling - especially when the kite is not visible on a big bottom turn, cut back or in a loop - means you can concentrate 100% on the surf. The Carve has a longer, progressive spring travel, so feels smooth and responsive over the full depower range, and when you drop out, it's responsive to the end. This 2024 Carve feels lighter, faster spinning and more agile. North has redesigned the entire kite from top to bottom for better drift and more responsive fingertip-light control. It has a lowered aspect ratio, new panel layout, refined leading edge and profile for more responsive steering and lighter bar pressure, more stable efficient drifting and less drag on the wave plane. Improved overall balance with more sweep in the tips improves drift, so when you are surfing, it glides along the line. The wing tips are lighter and North has introduced a smoother curve and more shape stretch to the back, so the balance is more in the middle of the profile. A smaller LE diameter reduces drag, while extra sweep allows for effortless restarts. The Carve is now much smoother, more stable and more manageable in gusty conditions. The Carve flies quickly against the wind, and experienced riders will benefit from the kite's impressive power and efficiency. Advanced riders will find that it offers a smoother, more user-friendly ride. Freeride and Strapless Freestylers will love the light reactive handling, longer bar stroke, improved hangtime and catch for rotations and softer landings.
