The Astra is a lively yet powerful board designed as a bold addition to our freeride quiver. It delivers performance of otherworldly class for lighter riders. Often lighter riders experience difficulty riding large, stiff boards designed for heavier individuals. With this in mind, we wanted to create a board with a more responsive flex for riders with smaller builds. We wanted a board that would offer more control in various conditions, more comfort and softer landings, without compromising performance. The Astra offers a shorter length and narrower stance, and uses basalt technology in its construction. This provides the perfect amount of flexibility for controlled edges, powerful jumps and loops, and this applies to riders of all skill levels. The reliable grip of the rail gives you the confidence to push your limits while getting ready for huge jumps. Thanks to the board's efficient bottom and rocker, it moves quickly through the water and resists headwinds well. The medium flex is optimally tuned, meaning you can expect powerful and clean pop, but also still forgiving for your knees and legs on firmer landings.
