JP Australia Hydrofoil Slalom S-TEC 2025

The fastest JP Foil board got even faster this year In the world of racing, development never stands still. New foils, new sails and the constantly increasing skill of riders require constant updates . Faster and faster foil windsurfing! JP's fastest windsurf Foilboards have now become even faster - again! The main performance-enhancing feature of all these boards this year is their construction: S-TEC gives the boards a new and completely different look and makes the already very light boards even lighter! The boards take off earlier and are easier to control in the air.

The range has been narrowed down somewhat to the core sizes: 80, 85 and 88. By 2025, the PWA will only allow one size of foilboard in a racer's equipment. Therefore, our core sizes had to continue to outperform the competition and were redeveloped. Werner Gnigler has shaped three new boards to cover all PWA Slalom conditions. This way every rider can find his best performing board depending on his weight and the conditions in which he will use it.The main focus was on efficiency, especially minimizing drag and improving control in the air. To achieve this, the boards feature a flat nose scoop, thin rails at the front and a slightly domed deck at the nose to optimize airflow. The deck shape in the staging area is flat, with raised pads extending above the rail, providing consistent leverage to the foil. Only the most important competition size, the 85, now comes in a completely new shape.

Replaced by an 88, the 91 covers the light wind range and will be used in low wind national events. Meanwhile, the proven 78 has been replaced by an 80 still covers the high wind segment and long distance events such as the famous DEFI Wind.

The main changes to the JP Hydrofoil Pro are:

  • Nose area:JP flattened the nose depression and made the front rail thinner. To optimize airflow. All HydroFoil Slalom boards are very short, minimizing pendulum load and improving control at the top.
  • Mast base area: The rails in this area are fuller with hard sharp edges. They have the most efficient shape to create elevator and get in the air, and to greatly reduce drag on contact with the water, so you are right back in the air after the touchdown!
  • The mast base sits slightly lower making it easier to pull the sail close on the board also it offers efficiency and extra control when pushing the limits and during the jibe.
  • Deck Shape: The shape of the deck in the standing area has received the most radical change: it is now flatter and the pads even extend a little beyond the maximum width of the rail. It is also possible to have two strap-plugs for the rear foot - the inner one for runs and reaching in strong winds, the outer one for tighter reaching and light winds.
  • Deck Shape (tail): The tail is now made even more aerodynamic so the rider has more control!
